Over 160 Female-Led Start-ups applied to the Female Entrepreneurs Competitive Start Fund (CSF) to with €50,000 in equity funding and to be selected for the Enterprise Ireland ‘Innovate’ Programme which is delivered by the GEC’s management company, Dublin BIC.
The aim of the Innovate Programme, an accelerator for female-led start-ups, is to help participants get investor-ready within 12 weeks. This involves reaching key commercial and technical milestones as well as building out and validating a scalable business proposition. Successful applicants will have shown the potential to develop a product for sale on international markets and to create ten jobs, and €1m in sales, within 3-4 years of starting up.
Through the Innovate Programme, Dublin BIC provides guidance and practical assistance on issues that face all early-stage entrepreneurs, including market research, product development, strategic planning, sales and marketing, effective pitching and accessing finance.
The 12 successful companies that have been selected to participate in the Innovate programme include: Apisprotect, Bioprobe Diagnostics, Blendi, Budding, BeeInstant, Connect the Dots, Habitus, Izzy Wheels, Maikology, PayBolt, Schedulie and Topper.
The programme based here in the Guinness Enterprise Centre has been running from September and will go right through until December…watch this space! 🙂
