01 Oct In Focus: RaymondBrian
RaymondBrian led by their MD Ray Armstrong recently moved into The GEC. Ray has many years’ experience at international level managing IT teams, project portfolios, procurement & vendors. He is an innovative and adaptable professional with a highly effective mix of ICT and business skills. Proven track record of increasing operational efficiencies, controlling project cost/time-frames and implementing/maintaining technology initiatives to support enterprise objectives. Ray also holds a BSc and MSc in Strategic IT and Information Systems Management.
Here, he explains what RaymondBrian do that sets them apart from the rest…
‘We believe that investments in IT & Software should always add value to an organisation or resolve a business challenge. We believe that investing in IT correctly first time reduces cost in the long term. We are passionate about making IT simple for organisations and are always technology impartial and independent. We believe in giving our clients control in relation to IT. We are not a technology reseller or aligned to any technology vendors. We see ourselves as a “Virtual CIO”. As we are vendor/technology independent, you receive unbiased advice. RaymondBrian Strategies have a proven track record in reducing effort and cost where IT investment is concerned.’
But just how do they do this?
‘We discard technology and solutions at the outset. We speak in business terms with our clients and do not converse in IT speak. We work with our clients to define and document their requirement prior to presenting solutions.
Once the requirement is agreed, we present a RaymondBrian Strategic plan (for immediate implementation) which gives an organisation an action plan to achieve their IT investment goals.
We then manage the project and vendor through implementation, sitting on the client’s side of the table.
Our service provides honest, impartial and independent advice to our clients prior to IT investment, including project and vendor management services.’
They’ve also done their research…
53 % of respondents believed that they were not getting the best value from their complete IT environment
73% of respondents believe that IT can do more than originally required to do
We asked Ray why he chose The GEC as a location to expand his business…
‘We were in the market for shared office space and took a look at the GEC. There was an immediate sense of an entrepreneurial, ambitious and friendly atmosphere within the GEC and it felt like a no brainer for us to locate here. The entrepreneurial community within the GEC has really assisted our company.’
