19 Feb GEC’s Prosper Series Events

The Mission of the Prosper Series is to create a network of support among a county’s business diaspora to enhance prosperity in the county through co-operation, knowledge sharing, creativity and a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Kerry was the first county to benefit from this new initiative at the inaugural event held in the GEC in November last where start-ups based in Kerry got the opportunity to explore business opportunities with Kerry entrepreneurs based in Dublin. Start-ups seeking to create employment in Kerry, including Mibeau Interiors, Crua Outdoors and Storystock, got to benefit from the networking and knowledge sharing opportunity. Legendary Kerry entrepreneur, Jerry Kennelly, CEO of Tweak and Stockbyte (Stockbyte sold to Getty images in 2008 for €135 million) was the guest speaker and is an inspiration to all entrepreneurs! If you’d like to see highlights of this event you can do so here.

The next event in the Prosper Series will be held on March 1st and we’ll hear from more ** Kerry start-ups and will be joined by our guest speaker for the evening, Ed Harty of Dairymaster
