FDS Ireland is a franchise consultancy and publications organisation operating in the Franchise industry. FDS Ireland offer a complete range of franchise consultancy products and services for prospective and established franchisees and franchisors, as well as a range of franchise publications including the best-selling Irish Franchise Magazine.
In August 2014, FDS Ireland acquired an office space at the GEC. As a consultancy company, a lot of Barry’s time is spent meeting with clients throughout the country. The GEC share office facilities give Barry the flexibility to carry out his consultancy work while still having a firm base to operate from. Barry has developed many networks from availing of the shared office facilities. Attending monthly “open intro” meetings has given him the opportunity to meet with a number of excellent organisations. The culture within the GEC is infectious, every corridor, office space and individual is overflowing with innovative and creative new ideas. This atmosphere encourages the entrepreneurial spirit that is present in all new business start-ups.
On the 5th of December, Barry hosted a lively and interactive round table event at the Westbury Hotel, Dublin, chaired by FDS Managing Director Roy Seaman. Established and prospective franchisors, as well as franchise legal representatives throughout Ireland and the UK attended the inaugural event. The level of discussions exceeded all expectations, and the sharing of information and advice has firmly planted the seeds for a strong Irish franchise community to emerge. Following positive feedback, FDS Ireland aims to make this a regular event in 2015.
FDS Ireland has recently established a partnership with the Institute of Technology, Blanchardstown to support students with their business start-ups. The Entrepreneurial Scholarship Program was launched on the 8th December, 2014. FDS Ireland will award a €10,000 fund to a chosen team or individual to establish their new business start-up. In support of this programme FDS Ireland will hold a spectacular Las-Vegas themed Ball on the 28th of March 2015 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown.
