14 Oct Apply now for Startup Island bootcamp
Calling all startups – how do you plead?
The Governor has announced the launch of Startup Island – an intensive startup bootcamp with a twist.
On the site of a disused former prison on an island off the coast of Cork, Startup Island will bring together investors, entrepreneurs, startups and experts for a gritty, two-day, overnight bootcamp.
On Friday 18 and Saturday 19 November, startups will be detained on Spike Island for an experience like no other. Startups will be pushed outside of their comfort zones with a physical, army-style bootcamp, as well as business masterclasses led by prominent entrepreneurs covering a range of topics from pitching to raising capital, and more.
The CorkBIC Global Investor Challenge will also give startups the opportunity to compete for a prize fund worth €50,000.
Startup Island is open to startups who want to learn the real hard truths about making it in business.
Spaces are limited so interested startups should apply now for tickets. Overnight tickets, including all elements of the bootcamp, are on sale for €50, while those looking for a one-day experience can purchase €25 tickets. If you think you have what it takes to survive, let us know in 200 characters or less, and you could win a free place on the island.
Applications for tickets are now open. Closing date for applications is Friday 28th October. Apply now!
